📋 What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the platform:

• Account info: Your name, phone number, and email address
• Errand info: Pickup and drop-off addresses you enter
• Profile picture: Optional — used to personalise your profile
• Push notification token: So we can send you delivery updates
• Campus: KNUST — used to match you with nearby runners
• Runner verification only: Selfie photo and KNUST student ID
• Device info: IP address, OS version, app version for debugging
• MoMo number: Runners may optionally save their MoMo number for withdrawals. We never store your MoMo PIN.

🎯 How We Use It

• Match posters with available runners on campus
• Send push notifications for errand status updates
• Verify runner identities before they go live
• Process earnings and withdrawals for runners
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Contact you about your account when necessary

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. Ever.

👥 Who Sees Your Data

During an active errand:

• The runner sees your name, phone number, and pickup/dropoff addresses
• The poster sees the runner's name, rating, and phone number

No other users can see your information.

💳 Payments

Cash on delivery is the default payment method. For Mobile Money payments, transactions are processed by Paystack Ghana. Acta never stores your MoMo PIN, card numbers, or banking credentials. Runner withdrawal data (MoMo number and account name) is stored securely in our database and used only to process payouts.

🔗 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Firebase (Google) — push notifications
• Paystack — Mobile Money payments
• Expo — app build and delivery platform
• Google Maps / Places — address search

🔒 Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Database access is protected by Row-Level Security — no user can read another user's private data directly. Payment operations are handled server-side via secured functions; no financial writes happen directly from your device.

🗑️ Your Rights

• Request a copy of your data at any time
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent by uninstalling the app — this stops all data collection

👶 Children

Acta is intended for university students aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately and we will delete the account.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app grows. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
